Salvation is obtained through Jesus Christ. John, 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NKJV)
I Thessalonians, 5:9-11, "For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up just as in fact you are doing." (NKJV)
Romans, 10:9 says, that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (NKJV)
When you repent and turn your life over to Jesus, the Bible tells us that the angels are joyful. Luke, 15:10, "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (NKJV)
If you want Jesus Christ to take control of your life and reserve a place for you in eternity with God, say this prayer and surrender your life to Jesus (surrendering is a daily process that Jesus will help you to do.)
Say this prayer out loud: "Jesus, I believe you are Lord of Lords and King of Kings. You are my Lord and Savior. I believe you died for my sins and that God raised you from the dead. Please come inside my heart and forgive me for all my sins and make me a new person. Thank you that because I have confessed by mouth out loud who you are; I believe by faith that I will live in eternity with you. Help me to spend time in your word and learn more about the kingdom of God. Thank you that as of now all my sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus. God remembers them no more. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
Congratulations, you are a born again (Saved) Christian! Pray daily in the name of Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit will lead your life. We cannot change our lives on our own; the Holy Spirit that is now within you will help you to understand the Bible when you read it. The Holy Spirit will also help you to live a more Godly life. Read the Bible and learn how much God loves you. There are many promises in the Bible that God wants you to believe and receive now in this life. Believe that what God's words says is true.
If you do not have a church home, pray and ask God to lead you to a Bible teaching church that will help you to grow and be encouraged in the things of God. The Bible tells us not to forsake the assembling with other believers. (Hebrews 10:23-25) Christians strengthen each other and help one another to strive after the things of God. We encourage each other, especially when storms come our way.
The Bible teaches us what to do during stormy seasons in our lives, and it is just that, a season -- it is not forever. Be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome all the storms that the world can and will throw at us. John, 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (NKJV ) Our hope is in Christ alone!
